"The decision to sell a business that has been your life for over 45 years is not an easy one. I had been contemplating selling for a few years both with a broker and on my own. The results were what I would consider insults rather than actual offers.

“My wife and I were owners of a company that specialized in cabinetry for the garage and garage floor coating systems. We had been in business for an extended time and felt that it was time to retire. We had been told by several people that it would be very difficult to sell the business in the range of our asking price because the company would be viewed as being an extension of ourselves and others could not step into our shoes.
Before hiring Jim Beno, we had dealt with two other brokers who provided their best efforts but failed to produce prospective purchasers who showed enough interest to extend offers.
